Every time you say something try taking into full consideration the other persons words.
Just saying "yes mother" to my very serious comment is the perfect example of what you shouldn't do.
You need to realize that both racism and sexism are serious issues, and joking about can be ok, to a certain extent, but pretending to be racist or sexist can still offend. And it offends me to think that you don't give a crap. No joke Austin.

Asking "how does one become mature?" is a question u will never need to answer. Just take other people thoughts into consideration and you are well on your way. It makes me sad to think that you might not take this seriously. No joke.

The reason i don't want racism or sexism or anything of that sort in the forums is because other people could see this, your mother for example.

Here's an example of being immature, your first reply to Jase on the swine flu thread, I can't tell if its a joke cause if it is then its a terrible one cause the reply was insensitive and kinda hurtful (exuse me for being blunt) because you were taking a serious issue and turning it into a joke... best advice, just tread carefully between jokes and serious stuff.

To Austin 1. Have you seriously thought about/planned your life? 2. Can you handle serious situations? 3. How do you treat people? 4. Is your emotion stable? Can you control it?
Give a good answer please. Start thinking.

first of all, the questions jason poses are very up-front and vague. But good nonetheless. of course some of them are very situational. I may not know much about this, but answering those questions while you are still developing is stupid. A lot of your actions are uncontrollable and hormones drive plenty of our decisions. Thinking and talking about this is a good start but true maturity comes with age. Just try your best.
that's my 0.02$.

It also depends on the people you are with and the activities you do. You do grow up everyday, physically and mentally. I for one, keep a blog since I was grade 6. It's interesting for me to read my old posts, which reflects my maturity at the time.
Which CAN still be controlled to a certain degree. The degree of uncontrollable emotion is varied from person to person, but I believe that one can reduce it to minimum (ie do not blame the hormones). AND it's much easier to control yourself consciously than to try to police your hormone emissions.
