You see Austin, the thing with Telus is that it sucks balls. The way Shaw enables high speed internet is with wires, and that's why you guys get better Mb/s all the time. We suckers at Telus get our asses raped because Telus doesn't use wires or its something different from Shaw, thus we don't get "high speed" internet. So yeah, to be honest my internet speed is about the same as Cole's, but I have yet to post it up.
(The above facts were the ones that Jason told me, so there might be some error in my memory, Jason if you still come here please do tell).

Ya shaw is good but judging by the complaints from my mom it's pretty expensive too. What I don't get is how I'm faster wireless with Byron on the Internet then no Byron and plugged in

Telus = telecom = DSL internet Shaw = cable = cable internet
DSL = coupled copper wire (very thin) = maximum physical bandwidth 20Mbps Obviously Telus can't give you the theoretical maximum
Cable = coaxed wire (fat) = large maximum bandwidth (> 3Gbps if they use DOCSIS 3.0) Shaw can continue to increase internet speed beyond what Telus can theoretically offers if they want to, but they want to maximize profit and do very little work, so no, it's not that much faster.
Now I can laugh at you all (at least in Taiwan): Download: 100Mbps Upload: 5Mbps Ping: 50ms
it costs ~$40 CAD a month ($1100 NTD), tax included, 1 year contract Now you see why North America is so behind in internet (Not only in Asia, Europe get that kind of speed as well)
Oh, and all of your upload speeds are so sad. in Vancouver: Download: 0.8Mbps Upload: 0.8Mbps Ping: 130ms (but it only cost $15 per month)
